When last at sea the compass was lost, today we sail again in search of same. Though the first compass was later found, it is of no use now and all hope is drowned. If fortune brings you prosperity, so it will get you to a high position. Fortune and happiness are no different to each other. Observe this truth and be guided by it.

2. The Meaning

This describes the search for a compass in the open sea. All efforts are wasted and everything turns out hopeless. Misfortune will fall on your family. You must take precautions against accident. Business will be profitable. Matrimonial matters will not reach a final agreement. It is unlikely your wife will be pregnant; the expected visitor will be delayed. Farming and silkworm raising will both be profitable but you are advised not to invest in livestock, as you may suffer damage and losses. The missing cannot be traced. Disputes and quarrels should be settled through compromise. Changing residence is recommended. Things lost are gone forever. The sick will not be cured. Ancestral graves will be safe for the time being.
